National Hat Day - January 15th

Here's how I celebrated the day - by knitting a new hat with some yarn that had recently arrived.  The pattern follows if you're interested in knitting your own!  Happy Hat Day!

Arrowhead Lace Cap

Size:

Adult woman

Length of hat about 8.5 inches blocked

Gauge:

10 stitch pattern repeat is approximately 2.5" wide

Materials Needed:

DK weight yarn or Sock weight (double stranded)  I used about 50 grams of yarn.

Size 6 16 " circular needles and size 6 DPNs

Tapestry needle

Stitch markers

Notes:

I find it is much easier if you place a stitch marker every 10 stitches and count, count, count!

Though I used Starry sock weight yarn (held double), this cap can be made with a variety of yarn weights by adjusting the number of stitches cast on and the needle size.
